偶的X启动失败了

没做什么美化，不过我曾强制关闭GNome图形界面一次(Ctrl+C)，再reboot后startx失败，得到信息：
Could not init font path element unix/:7100, removing from list

Could not open default font 'fixed'

怎样设置缺省字体，为什么会找不到? 请各位高手指点 ！
多谢关注。偶的系统是 Redhat 9.0.

先mkfontdir /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc（好像是这个路径）
再重新启动xfs服务，
