为什么我的yum就会超时呢？

感谢清华提供了FC的yum资源，我按照攻略配置好清华的yum配置文件，然后试一下：
# yum list vsftpd
然后得到执行信息如下：
Repository extras already added, not adding again
Repository extras already added, not adding again
Setting up repositories
core                                                            1.1 kB 00:00
freshrpms                                                      951 B 00:00
updates                                                          951 B 00:01
Reading repository metadata in from local files
primary.xml.gz                                                   0 B 00:08

ftp://ftp3.tsinghua.edu.cn/mirror/download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/os/repodata/primary.xml.gz:
Socket Error: timed out
Trying other mirror.
Error: failure: repodata/primary.xml.gz from core: No more
mirrors to try.
我就把里面的这个ftp地址，包括最后下载的那个primary.xml.gz文件，一齐贴到Opera的地址栏回车，Opera很顺利的就脸上这ftp开始下载这个文件了，很奇怪，为什么偏偏yum就会出现超时呢？
