我的硬盘速度不对头：
我用# hdparm -tT /dev/hda/dev/sda:
Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.25seconds =160.07 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.66 seconds = 38.55 MB/sec

有这么快吗？

正常,第一个是从硬盘自带的cache读进内存缓冲的,当然快
第二个是从硬盘直接读进内存,当然没那么快

我打开了DMA100,第二项是40.5MB/sec左右

mine is a laptop disk, so real disk read speed is slow. but my ddr seems to be much faster than yours

主要是7200.7 单堞80G的，而且内部传输率标称是58M/sec，说明linux的磁盘性能还是比windows好的，windows无论如何都达不到这个“理论速度”。
