Redhat7.3的X-Window问题.

Redhat7.3,用setup配置显卡,测试通过,测试提示的中文字符也正常,可是一startx就

我的"/var/log/XFree86.0.log".

新装的系统一切都好,可是用tar备份以后,恢复时X就失效了.重新配置显卡失败.

linuxsir的我用kinston给出了一个凑合的解决方案:用“/usr/share/fonts/ch_ZN/TrueType”替换了“/etc/X11/Xf86config_4”里的“unix:7100”，X好歹出来了,但是问题没有彻底解决,中文字体非常难看.中文输入法无法启动，报告错误

我的系统基本情况如下:
Redhat7.3常用根分区为hda7，/usr在hda8。我把“/”下各个非空目录都用“tar czvfp”打包了。为了验证Redhat7.3的备份可恢复性，我把它们解到hda9，并相应地修改了fstab和lilo。它们共用hda8为/usr，而我用在hda7能正常启动X的XF86config-4替换现有的，又无法启动X了。故推测问题出在打包和解压过程。是不是tar备份的东西不保险，以至于备份或解压时丢了一些东西？红旗2.0桌面版可是非常吃这一套的，坏了就解包恢复。

谁有比较好的解决办法?或者谁知道缺失的那些东西属于哪些软件包?
