can't input chinese

i installed the kde3.1.1 and xft2 in redhat8.0 , but now i can't input chinese in konqueror and other kde applications , but can input chinese in gaim, mozilla,so what's the problem ?

我的也是kde3.1，redhat8.0，xft2的Tahoma，用过fcitx,chinput都没问题，不知你做汉化时有没有哪一步没做好？什么输入法？

i use fcitx, my update procedure as follows

1.update kde3.0 to kde3.1.1
when i done this, it seemd already can't input chinese.

2.update xft2 with --nodeps --force
but there is a error with xft2, in font config , can't display chinese font.
