为什么开个gaim要几分钟？

我是用代理服务器上网的。每次开gaim都要几分钟才显示出来。在终端运行gaim。显示这样：
# gaim
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
unix_connect: can't connect to server (unix:/tmp/mcop-root/localhost_localdomain-02ed-3ef68582)

而且不会再运行的了。
