请问如何在REDHAT LINUX 9.0上升级内核

我不会啊。谁能一步步地教我啊。。。

我好可怜啊。我从装了15次啦。觉得一点希望也没有。。。
我要把内核升级到。2。5。75

我的做法：先在你解包的kernel目录里make clean;make mrproper,然后把Redhat的/usr/src/linux-2.4/configs里面与你cpu相对应的xxx-xxx.config文件拷贝到新kernel源代码目录下，存为".config"文件（记住，文件名就叫.config，不要画蛇添足哦），然后make menuconfig;make dep;make bzImage;make modules;make modules_install，保准没问题：）
不过，如果你的root和boot分区是reiserfs的话，必须在make menuconfig的时候将File System里reiserfs support项选为"*"，RH默认是M的，会导致你的root无法mount。当然，如果愿意，可以在menuconfig时把你的声卡，网卡项也由M改为"*"。
这样做，确实轻松很多：）
ps.我用的那个config文件是linux-2.4.20-athlon.config，因为我的cpu是athlon XP 2400+嘛：）
