char-major-188 ???

我的root邮件中有这样一条：
---------------------ModProbe Begin---------------
      Can not locate these Modeules:
               char-major-188:2 Time(s)
---------------------ModProbe End---------------

这个模块是干什么的？

this is a warning email from modprobe that it can not find this module.

from /usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt
188 char      USB serial converters
                  0 = /dev/ttyUSB0      First USB serial converter
                  1 = /dev/ttyUSB1      Second USB serial converter
                  ...

so check if u need this one, ifnot, modify u /etc/module.conf.
