升级内核的问题！！

我新编译一个内核在启动的时候出现如下：
Booting 'Red hat linux (7.5.72)'
root (hd0,4)
Filesystem tyke is ext2fs , partition type 0X83
kernel /vmlinz-2.5.72 ro root = LABEL=/ hdd=ide-sisi

Uncompressing linux ........Ok, booting the kernel
就不动拉，请问是什么地方出错拉 ？
