Zeta <- BeOS 6 ....

据说这个版本基于 BeOS 5.1(难道是dano ?!)，速度更快，性能更好，而且有一些在 bebits 上找不到的驱动，如 USB 2.0，基本的红外线输出，而且支持 J2EE 1.4.2 和 mono C#(http://217.160.164.133/yellowtab/english/news/article.php?id=65)Gobe Produce 2.0 正式版办公软件。。。

只是，它要 $$$ ....:x

PP 是小事，主要是 BeOS 的很多特性是你无法想象的。
比如在 MediaPlayer 里截个图只要看准时候把图片向桌面上一拉，就像拖拉复制文件一样，图片就截好了。
BeOS 的 DDE 和 OLE 绝对是世界一流，无人比拟，Windows 也甘拜下风。。。（此处省略 XXX 字）

呵呵，这两天我一直在折腾我的 BeOS。

OpenBeOS 小组出了 nVidia 显卡的驱动程序，终于支持硬件加速了。
显示速度快了好多，播放高分辨率的电影再也不会停顿了，而且播放影片时终于有“锯齿平滑”了。
BeOS 对于带有硬件加速的 overlay(Linux 下就是 xv 模式) 和软件的 bitmap(x11)方式比起 Linux 要智能得多，对于大图就用硬件加速，小图就不用。

贴图里就是在 BeOS 下同时播放 3 个 DivX 的图片。(Linux 下你敢这么干吗~？！:mrgreen: )
640x480 的电影采用了 overlay 模式，已经无法截图了，看到的只有一片红色，可是另外两个小图就照截不误。
现在在我机器上播放一个 640x480 同时可以播放 2 个小的影片，最多可以同时播放 5 个小影片了，同时播放时依然非常流畅，可是要再打开一个的话就会感觉图片就会有所停顿了，不过声音一直没问题，非常非常流畅，多音频流表现得非常非常棒~！

还有 auvia driver 解决了原来 BeOS 自带的 MVP4 的 VIA AC97声卡驱动中声音速度莫名其妙为原速度的115% 的问题(这个问题是因为 VIA 的 AC97 声卡锁定了 48KHz)。
不过这个驱动音质没有原来的 MVP4 驱动好，现在的听起来感觉就像 Linux 内核自带的 OSS Lite 驱动，在该驱动的 Readme 里看见说是有一个 NetBSD 的 VIA AC97 驱动作者帮了他们很多忙(到了没有那位大拿这个驱动就不会出现的程度。。。。)

不管怎么样，这一下 BeOS 在我机器上完美了~！:mrgreen:

可以用 grub 引导。。。
前提是你把 BeOS 装在实硬盘上而不是虚拟盘上了。
title PhosphurOS ...   -> (ExpDano/5.02)
      rootnoverify (hd0,1)
      makeactive
      chainloader +1


很多引导器都可以引导 BeOS 的，BeOS 引导时不需要指定内核位置(因为内核位置是固定的 - /boot/beos/system 下的 _kernel_)，只要能引导 DOS 的引导器都可以引导 BeOS。

是在不行清空了 MBR 然后再把 BeOS 分区激活就 OK 了 :)

1)prepare a free partition with beos format (the size >=beos.iso (or image.be)file size    ) ,

2)boot into you linux system , login as root ,

3)uncompress your beoszip ball , you will get a *.iso file .
    (you can also use your image.be file.When you install beos5 pe in M$ windows ,you can get it in your BEOS path )

4)now pls use "dd"command towrite your iso (or *.be) file to the partition
dd if=*.iso of=/dev/hdXY bs=xxxK

5)edit your grub.conf

6)reboot your box

7)enjoy the BeOS!!!

In your beos path , there is a floppy.img (i can't remember the file name, sorry)

You can copy it to your /boot/grub/ , edit your grub.conf

reboot your box , select beos, hit , press to call beos boot menu,
from the menu your can select to boot your beos which has been installed
in M$ windows.

Could beos support NTFS filesystem?
BeOS has been installed into the ntfs filesystem.
