email client
Hi, friends,Could anyone recommend an email client that doesn't need installation, i.e., just unzip the program into a specific directory, AND all the auxiliary files or directories for running the program arein the same directory. So, no matter how many times you re-install the OS, all you need to do for restoring the email client is to copy the whole directory to some where else.
I tried Thunderbird, don't like it.
Really missing Foxmail 2.x
Thanks a lot for any info. foxmail?
That's a win software, not linux software.
U may try Kmail, it's settings will be saved in ur home directory. Make ur /home a seperate partition, and this will keep ur settings howmany times u reinstall ur system. Thanks for your reply. I need a program that works in both Linux and Windows, since I transfer something between home and office. Also, I hope the email client and all the settings, and the emails received using the client are in the directory. Then u may use wine and use it to run foxmail in ur home directory.
Another suggesstion, u may keep the mails in the mailbox on the server and just read it. I tried wine, doesn't work.
I can not keep all the messages in the server, since I only have 50M quota. I always got some messages like "you are out of quota". 50m空间还少啊?晕 50m空间还少啊?晕
Yes. If I don't lost some emails because of the HD problem, there should be more than 1G emails.
