有人用过gentoo的package CD吗？
What's IncludedGentoo Linux 2004 comes in several flavors. Our universal single-disc version includes everything you need to install an optimized version of Gentoo 2004.1 on an x86, i686, Pentium III, Pentium 4 and Athlon XP system. Optimized "stage3 tarballs" for each system type are included on our universal disc 1. Also included are about 250MB of sources so that you can get your Gentoo system up and running without a network connection. 好像预先编译了一些常用程序，节省了安装时间，不知道有没有人用过。 有人用过，但不是我，我准备用。。。 :-p
受够 magic 了，我最受不了 redhat 的缺点基本上它也都有。。。
请用过 grp 的 DDMM 过来解答一下。。。 首先，得用LiveCD里的portage snapshot；如果曾经emerge sync，那你得先把/usr/portage里的东西全删掉，然后把LiveCD里的portage snapshot解开到/usr/portage里。如果你有packages CD的iso，可以：
# mount -o loop /path/to/yourpackages.iso /usr/portage/packages
(如有必要，mkdir /usr/portage/packages). 如果没有iso，但刻了盘，先挂好盘然后：
# export PKGDIR="/mnt/cdrom/packages"
或(1.4和2004好象不大一样)
# export PKGDIR="/mnt/cdrom"
然后就可以emerge -k xxx装grp了。
ps 如果你没网络，那装xfree的时候可能要：
# USE="bindist" emerge -k xfree cp /mnt/cdrom/All/* /usr/portage/distfiles/All/
然后emerge -k xxx就可以了吧 cp /mnt/cdrom/All/* /usr/portage/distfiles/All/
然后emerge -k xxx就可以了吧
从概念上来讲，最好用LiveCD里的portage snapshot， emerge -k xxx才能顺利装上CD里的grp；packages CD的版本越早，影响越大，但如果用2004.1的话，可能分别不大。如果用emerge -K xxx 可能就不需要；自己试试看吧，我以前用-K出过问题 (即portage会从网上下东西并开始编译，而不是直接解开packages CD里的包)，所以没推荐。
至于copy或挂载iso或export PKGDIR="。。。。“则悉听尊便了。 -k 安装不错啊
我的电脑原来不能上网就全部都GRP安装了,速度跟我后来自己编译的一样快!
