RedHat9中由于字体问题导致不能启动图形界面

我的RH9现在不能进入图形界面了，有以下出错信息：
#startx

: Initializing GLX extension
font renderer for ".TTF" already registered at priority 10
font renderer for ".TTC" already registered at priority 10
Could not init font path element Unix/:7100,removing from list!

Fatal server error:
Could not open default font "fixed"

请问我该如何解决这个问题？
另外我以前曾安装过全自动字体美化包linuxsir-fontconfig-3.4.bin，是不是和这个有关系？

看能不能启动，不行的话注释掉XF86Config中的FontPath "unix/:7100"，就是改成 #FontPath "unix/:7100" ，启动后修改你的字体配置……

1、#/etc/init.d/xfs start
显示几个乱码（可能是中文提示信息），然后startx仍然不能启动，出错信息和前面一样。

2、注释掉XF86Config中的 FontPath "unix/:7100" 后，startx，出错信息和前面一样。

请再帮我想想办法吧，十分感谢！

xtt对画中文字比较优秀，但是慢些
他又没读取freetype模块。

恢复你做的所有的改动，
执行：
cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc
mkfontdir
再startx看看

如果还不行：
修改XF86Config，
在FontPath "unix/:7100"下面加一行：
      FontPath      "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc"

这样也是不行，出错信息和前面一样，我都开始绝望了…………

事情是这样的：我用mplayer1.0pre3播放电影，可是播放很不流畅（电影我已经考到硬盘上），以前mplayer1.0pre3播放效果还是不错的，于是我就重新启动进入windows看了，以后再进入REDHAT9就出现这种情况了……

真是奇怪……
