Desktop menu problem
I installed the mandrake linux10 offical.after I login the system, there is a information showing the content like"Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:Klaucher said:Unknown protocol 'devices'. Can anyone tell me what does it mean?There is also other problems occurs,1 I right click the mouse button,then click "create new" then "file" or "device",under this menu, there is nothing, just a black item,in my knowledge,it should be something like create a file,create a application link and so on,why it show me like this?2,I lauch the Konqueror, I cannot see nothing under any of my system folders? I am so sad,Help me friends, I have no idea.高手帮帮忙啊
小弟实在不知道什么问题，请高手帮帮忙啊 你肯定使用的是手动换ISO方法安装的，这种方法可能会丢掉部分软件包。装上kdebase-kio*试试。 Thanks a lotmandrakechina.I installed it from cd-rom,does it cause the problem?Why it occur?That means the linux cannot install from cd-rom,right? I find the kdebase-common-3.2-79 mdk.i586.rpm was not installed? What is this package used for?I try to install it but my system tell me the signature is not correct,How can I solve this?
