What knid of older PC can USE

HI:
  DX! I am  new here. I have a couple of PCs.
  One desktop and Two laptops.
  Destop is a Pc with intel 300.
  One laptop is toshiba 50CT. Another is toshiba S2800.
  Right now I work with S2800. I already knewSome guys loaded REDhat 6 on the50ct.Ihave no idea about  it.
   Do you think Redhat6.0 is good enough for some simple work? Like doing a paper work, listening the Mp3, Browsing some website by the Lancable.
    I am willing to know what kind of old Pc is good enough to deal with some simple work like the above mentioned.
    I have another question for you? Which Linux is suitable for a freshmen?
    I am a guy who want to know some about Linux. I hate MS.
    I hope I can get rid of it someday.

我個人認為FC1還可以，LINUX下的辦公、娛樂、上網都沒有什么問題了，我想你可以是可以擺脫MS的，其它的LINUX版本我沒有用過，你可以試一下（最好找一些對硬件支持好的版本），GOOD　LUCK！！！
