u can try to compile u own kernel and replace it easily base on uml document.

invalid or unsupported executable format.

it is a special kernel image with gdb symbol info. it is special because uml kernel image is a linux executable program.

你在debian系统下有用过这个东西吗,debian上倒是有一个user-mode-linux的包,它的内核是2.4.24的,但是却下不到2.4.24文件系统的包,网上搜到的Debian-3.0r0.ext2.bz2却是针对2.4.18的,我怎样编译uml的内核和生成相应的文件系统包呢?

我根据上面的链接资料用rootstrap在debian系统下作一个文件系统,但是在debootstrap的时候出错,
提示信息是:
Resolving debian.linux.org.tw... failed: Host not found.
E: Failed getting release file http://debian.linux.org.tw/debian/dists/woody/Release
好像是域名解析不对,所以get file不成功.
老大,你有这方面的经验吗?

没办法,只好从本机的debian安装光盘上制作,将rootstrap的配制文件的mirror一项改为file:/cdrom/
将光盘mount到/cdrom下.

问题已解决,原来我的host ip设置有冲突.
