硬盘是 hda 格式，为什么在/boot/grub/menu.lst 里有
   
          initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.18-3.img

   在/etc/lilo.conf 里也有这样的一句，

    不是只有硬盘是 sda 格式才回有 initrd 的吗？
   
    grub 的和在 lilo 里的是否意思一样？

    在编译内核的时后，grub中的 initrd 怎样生成？ 是不是和在lilo中的一样？

no, any kind of kernel, system hardware configuration allows an initrd-xx.img exists. if u use scsi disk, u can also omit it if u really want. that all depends on how u compile u kernel.
yes, same meaning in grub and lilo, both let kernel use a ram disk image first.
after u make bzImage, modules modules_install, use mkinitrd to generate, see its help to know. same as lilo.

lilo and grub are different bootloader only, they will not influent these system files.
