SLAX官方之 changelog(只记录4.1.2以后的)
v 5.0.1 standard edition (10th of April 2005) - bugfix release
- X fonts are configured properly now, international characters should work OK
- initrd contains codepage cp437, a module for access to vfat filesystems
- udev is started even with nohotplug boot argument
- MySLAX creator upgraded to 1.7 and finaly works OK
- fluxbox command replaced by flux one
- gui* scripts start xwindow in vesa mode, use xconf for hw autodetection
- fixed slax-install, heavily tested.
- SLAX doesn't boot from USB when installed as a LiveCD. It will be fixed soon!

v 4.2.3 technology preview (5th of January 2005):
SLAX technology preview (40 MB iso) was silently released. It's available at ftp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/linux/linux-live.org/SLAX-4.2.x/
It contains new SquashFS filesystem providing better compression and fastest decompression, and UnionFS filesystem to overmount read-only data in pseudo read-write mode. New port of UnionFS for 2.6 kernel is expected soon, SLAX will switch to 2.6 line with UnionFS.
Please understand that this release is a console-based version only, it's just a TECHNOLOGY PREVIEW of some upcoming significant changes. Regular users are still advised to visit download page to download full 180MB SLAX with Xwindow system, KDE and many more programs.

- added "noguest" boot parameter to disable guest user during boot
- added "norestore" boot parameter to disable autorestoring of saved config
- added "home=" boot parameter to mount root's home from file or device
- slax-install disables guest user account from SLAX installed to harddisk
You will need to execute "usermod -U guest" as root to enable it back.
- mouseproto boot option now affects GPM too.
- fixed "slax gui" boot parameter. Only guisafe and guifast were working.
- removed some KDE games, I'm sorry. kdemine won't be added.
- removed juk audio player, it crashed all the time ...
- stripped all unneeded symbols from KDE libraries to make KDE even smaller
