新版ati驱动,直接支持2.6.12内核,不需补丁

终于有新版的ati linux驱动了,
Version: 8.16.20
在
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=300

直接支持到2.6.12内核,终于不用打那些乱七八糟的补丁(甚至有的补丁都有错)了,直接安装rpm就可以成功.

不过还是没有XFree86 4.4的版本,ML还是必须安装X.org.

需要修改/etc/X11/xorg.conf文件，仿照XF86Config文件中的Load xxx字段加入Load glx。

我的也打不开3d， 9550刷 9600xt的bios，还给认成是workstation的显卡。以前1.2f的时候还成功过。郁闷啊！

缺少DRI？是不是升级内核先？呵呵。试试看最新的2.6.12.5-3mgc吧。

十分感谢提醒！重装驱动后顺利认出显卡，3d打开。

为什么我用这个驱动在启动KDE后机器就锁死了，鼠标都不能动，Alt+Ctrl+Backspace都不行。
我是这样安装的：
1、安装ML2.0B3;
2、升级kernel到2.6.12.5-3mgc，然后重新启动，用新核心进入系统；
3、安装fglrx_6_8_0-8.16.20-1.i386.rpm，执行fglrxconfig配置；
4、startx。
然后就出现了像上面说的情况。
我的显卡是8500LE，在ML1.2中升级xorg，重新编译内核（按论坛里帖子的方法），安装fglrx_6_8_0-8.14.13-1.i386.rpm，配置fglrxconfig后就可以开启3D加速的。
