我原来用的Redhat 9自带的内核2.4.20-8很容易就把Nvidia驱动1.0-4349安装好了,工作也很正常。
后来我安装了公社的新的内核2.4.20-8.1以后,显卡驱动需要重新安装才能工作,我重新安装时,报告没有预编译好的版本,我选择自己编译,我已经安装了内核2.4.20-8.1的源代码了,可是编译却不成功。下面是安装日志文件:

a compiler different from the one that was used to compile
the running kernel. This may be perfectly fine, but there
are cases where this can lead to unexpected behaviour and
system crashes.
If you know what you are doing and want to override this
