1.2的启动问题

Linux的/可以是主分区可以是逻辑分区。但是需要注意的是8G的问题。我想你也许听说过8G，到底8G是什么呢？具体问题比较复杂，简单说就是不能把Linux的/分区mount到一个硬盘8G以后的分区上。所以如果你的硬盘有16G，前6G已经分给C:盘，后里面是两个5G的D: E:盘，纳闷你就得把D盘分区删除建立Linux分区而不是E盘，因为E盘已经在8G以后了。8G以后安装Linux是没有问题的，只是无法启动。当然这个是有解决办法的，但是在新手的状态我还是建议尽量按照最简单情况作，将来熟了再练习其它。

Hi. I just registered to this forum for this question. I used linux the first time about 4 days ago and i wanted to have dvb support so I compiled the new kernel, which was, let just say it wasn't very easy for a complete linux newbie but i got that same message so many times it still haunts my dreams =), Well anyway after a LOT of recompiles i was led to the fact i hadn't installed all the required IDE and SATA drivers in the kernel, so i suggest you go trough the config and try to enable the right ide drivers to boot your system. Hope this helps

应该是grub设置里面的root的定义错误了，可能定义到不是你的kernel文件所在的分区上面去了。

和我的情况一样，我今天安装了6变magic 1.2

我的80G硬盘都是reiserfs格式的，没问题。
那个8G什么的问题好像早不复存在了吧。

ML默认为只有一个它一个Linux系统，如果不是，那你就要手动安装grub了。试试看用gentoo或者fc3的cd启动，然后手动安装grub一下。
