[Scim (Simple Common Input Method) is a modern input system
primarily for Asian languages: see <http://www.scim-im.org/>.
The scim core package was recently added to Fedora Extras.]

Here I am happy to announce the availability of yum repositories
of scim packages for Fedora Core 3 and 4 (i386 and x86_64)
to be used in conjunction with Fedora Extras (which already
includes scim and scim-tables).

It is probably best practice to report problems related to
these packages directly to me initially.

Fedora Scim Packages

This is a temporary yum repository of scim packages for testing built for Fedora Core i386 and x86_64 and destined for Fedora Extras.
Currently available packages:
for Japanese: scim-anthy-0.4.3, scim-canna-0.1.0, scim-skk-0.2.0, scim-tables-ja

for Korean: scim-hangul-0.2.0, scim-tables-ko

for simplified Chinese: scim-ccinput-0.3.1, scim-fcitx-3.1.1, scim-pinyin-0.5.0, scim-tables-zh

for traditional Chinese: scim-chewing-0.2.0, libchewing-0.2.6, scim-tables-zh

other/misc: scim-input-pad-0.1.0, scim-qtimm-0.8.9, scim-tables-0.5.1, scim-uim-0.1.3, scim-tables-additional

There are also some unstable testing packages. Note scim-m17n is currently in testing, since it seems to cause some problems.

The packages are completely unsupported and without . But feel free to report problems or feedback on them to [email protected].
Configuration
yum
NB scim and scim-tables are already in Fedora Extras so these repositories complement and must be used in conjuction with it. See here for information on yum configuration for Extras.

To use with yum, add the following to the file "/etc/yum.conf" or say "/etc/yum.repos.d/scim.repo".
