这是不是rpm装mplayer的后遗症

我尝试过xine，但是现在的xine总有一些问题，就试着装回mplayer，但是我发现编译要打补钉，很麻烦，所以我上freshrpm上去下了mplayer的rpm，装好后就有问题了---解码器搞不定，我记得以前都是将.so or .dll 考到/usr/lib/win32中就解决了，但是现在好象不行，请教一下用rpm 装mplayer的大大们，怎么解决的。我已经下载了.tar包，解压到哪里，是否还要修改.config, and how?

解码器装在 /usr/local/lib/essential-20050412  或装解码器RPM包
安装RPM全在 /usr/local目录
装mplayer的RPM
装gmplayer的RPM 和skin-default的RPM
装fonts的RPM

不好意思，没有效果

仔细看看mplayer的出错信息。。。不同人编译的rpm可能使用了不同的路径
会有can't find drvc.so /usr/XXX/XXX这样的信息
然后ln -s一下就可以了
记得在命令行下执行mplayer

这种事情我当然做了，就是找不出表面的问题，以前编译安装的时候也出现过我这个问题，后来下了解码器重新编译就搞定了，所以我认为是解码器的问题。再说我现在感觉它根本就不知道有解码器的东东在，所以就不会去搜索/usr/，我的问题是how to tell him I have the codecs,and order him to find the codecs. 我觉得这个工作应该是在.mplayer/config 里完成，但是I have no idea of what to add and how

楼主好有自信哦。。。lol
first....mplayer knows how 2 use these codecs in the specific path
then...when someone compiled the mplayer to rpm, they already set a path in the configuration file for codecs.....so, if u wanna use the codec path in your way, u have 2 recompile the mplayer from source and edit the codec path section in the configuration file.
now what u can do is just follow someone's step and use the right path for codecs....good luck
