starting smartd

为什么我的系统安装完成之后出现starting smartd 之后就没反应了，我听说
按ctrl+alt+f2然后输入
chkconfig smartd off
就可以了，这个ctrl+alt+f2是干什么用的呢？？类似于win的什么东西呢？还有就是是我不明白这个smartd是干什么用的呢？？为什么会出现这种情况呢。我的硬盘是ide的。

smartd我不知道，不过可以告诉你ctrl+alt+f2是用来切换到第二个命令控制台，不类似于win的任何东西。

smartd  is a daemon that monitors the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) system built
   into many ATA-3 and later ATA, IDE and SCSI-3 hard drives. The purpose of SMART is to monitor the reliability

简单地说，smartd是监控硬盘的可靠性并预测其失败、进行测试的守护进程！
仔细看看smartd的说明即可！（man smartd）
＃chkconfig smartd off
这是关闭smartd服务自动启动，机器重新启动时smartd不再运行！
你提供的信息无法知道为什么你的smartd不能正常启动！

什么提示也没有，就是到了那足足3分钟没有反应，所以我就瞎按键了，不知道按了什么能进入登陆了，可是不按就过不去。也没有提示。

ctrl+alt+F1-F7是用来切换虚拟终端，一般linux有7个终端，6个字符终端1个图形终端。这功能window$是没有的，请不要没事拿linux下的东西同window$比，有空多看看linux的基础教程。
