ML2.0安装GNOME三步走（8月4日修正）

lz我也是菜鸟，现在什么都装好了，我就想知道desktop switch tools是什么东西，在哪可以着到它！？

PS：小弟。。。已经装了一晚上了，GRUB那一直都是magiclinux其他什么都没有阿 。。。。。

可以参照里面的方法，使用 apt-get update && apt-get install gnome-core 的方法安装 GNOME。你应该是还没有配置对上 GNOME 2.12/GNOME 2.14

现在 GNOME 2.14 应该是稳定的了，你可以试试把下面的

rpm  http://auvtech.com/~xinzhen/downloads/apt/ magic-2-0-g12 os gnome updates extras

rpm-src  http://auvtech.com/~xinzhen/downloads/apt/ magic-2-0-g12 gnome updates extras

改成

rpm  http://auvtech.com/~xinzhen/downloads/apt/ magic-2-0-g14 os gnome updates extras

rpm-src  http://auvtech.com/~xinzhen/downloads/apt/ magic-2-0-g14 gnome updates extras

另外，GDM 是 GNOME 提供的登录管理器，KDE 就有一个KDM，如果不是经常使用 GNOME 的话，可以不修改 DISKPLAYMANAGER。

还有就是个人觉得 ML 里的 smart 有点问题。（注意了，这是个人的直觉。有 97.7% 是错误的判断！）也说不上哪里有问题，就是觉得时不时会崩溃一下，以后有时候再研究一下源码 ：P

昨天都没睡好，今天希望能睡的好点，欢成GNOME没什么想法，之事在 KDE下，开机我768M内存开机就使用600多，着着还没什么没用的进程，都是系统的，真的受不了。。。

学习下，linux的基础知识吧，linux和windows的内存管理方式是不同的，总的说来是：物尽其用。

按heyuqi大哥说的已经跟改，但是重新使用APT-GET总是提醒我什么什么低版本已经安装，使用
APT-GET -F也还是不行，我现在重做系统，看看在最纯净环境下可以不？

npcomet大哥，那 个帖子里面的东西已在使用中测试了一遍，更新了源列表，更新了SMART，也执行了你的脚本，可是。。。
出现在错误，SMART不能正常安装，APT-GET显示好像是已安装过的意思，现在我就等着。
纯净环境下改过的APT-GET能不能正常使用了。
还有huyuqi大哥给的新地址，好像还是。。。。

安装完毕。。。显示下楼错误。。。
/etc/sysconfig/desktop里两个KDE都改成GNOME，desktop switch tools中已经有了gnome 项，选择后，ctrl+alt+back重新起动X，
进入的还是KDE，不知道杂面回事。。。

在你输入密码的地方，即 GDM 应该有一个叫“会话”的选项，在那里选择 GNOME。同样，你如果把 /etc/syscofnig/desktop 那两项改回为 KDE，同样在“会话”中，可以选择 GNOME/KDE。

要注意，KDM 与 GDM 是一种相同功能的软件，用于引导 GNOME/KDE 之类的桌面环境。如果选择一个就好了，用 GNOME 不一定要修改 /etc/sysconfig/desktop 的

这只是一个警告，因为你的系统原来就已经有了 /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc 这个文件了，所有你的包管理器 RPM，把新版本的文件输出另存为 /etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.rpmsave。

一般来说，Linux 用户对系统熟悉后，都可能在自己修改 /etc 下的文件，包管理器这样做是为了以免覆盖了用户的设定。

另外一个问题是输入/输出错误，不知道是不是打包的问题，我当时没有遇到这个情况。请帮忙确认一下“/etc/gconf/schemas/mixer.schemasmultiload.schemas”这个文件是否存在。如果不存在，可能要各位兄弟或者 LoneStar & 再见情人 帮你分析一下了，我现在没有环境

就又重新回到登陆窗口不知道什么原因我去找找有没同样遭遇的哥们。。。
