硬盘分区格式化问题!帮帮我!谢谢!

我的机器只有一个硬盘,并且正在使用中,我当时装系统的时候(hdb1-7)就没有全部用完.特意留了一部分没有用.
后来在学习系统的时候,用fdisk /dev/hdb

[root@cguang ~]# fdisk /dev/hdb

之后我用  [root@cguang ~]# mkfs.ext2 /dev/hdb9
mke2fs 1.35 (28-Feb-2004)
Could not stat /dev/hdb9 --- No such file or directory

The device apparently does not exist; did you specify it correctly?
[root@cguang ~]#

对了,随便问问redhat as 4.0 是不是不太稳定?

分完区要重启一下(除非你用的是livecd), 因为新的分区表只有在硬盘重新sync后才会被识别的.

BTW: rhel4很稳定的.
