怎样patch内核。

我想往2.4.20内核加入supermount，并下载了相关的*.patch文件。但我不知道怎样才能把patch加入内核？看了公社里的“Linux初学者Patch使用指南”还是不太懂。
各位能不能给个详悉的介绍。
我的系统是mdk9.0。

mdk的内核不是已经打上这个补丁了吗？

mdk9.0's patch only applyed on the kernel 2.4.19-mdk. so i have to patch 2.4.20 myself.

patch成功了，而且在menuconfig中也有supermount的选项，但在编译内核时，提示supermount_i.h，中有错误，有两个宏没有找到定义。我对照了mdk字带的2.4.19的源代码，发现的确有一些不一样。看来这个问题不是一下子就能完全解决的。等忙过这一段，我在好好研究一下。多谢Dragonfly的指教。
