我的服务器当了，求挽救方法！

RHLinux 9系统，iptables防火墙，一天服务器中的smb服务突然中止并报错，检查服务器发现httpd、network等一些服务全坏，telnet只是偶尔开着用一下。后没有办法，进行重启，却发现系统无法启动，出错说是： rc.sysinit中的第70行出错，以及不能mount /proc,就这样停止不动了。
这是为什么呢？是被人攻击了吗？有哪位有遇到过同样情况的呢？有没有什么挽救办法，能让linux重新启动呢？

how about your hardwares?
you should do back up now. Put your harddrive into another machine, mount it, copy out important stuff and check system files. if nothing went wrong, check you harddrive...

谢谢EdwardRF的回复，重要资料我已经取出，但我仍然不能找到是原因，很想恢复系统，只能再想办法了，不知哪位还能知道些办法能让系统重新启动。

so do you mean there is nothing wrong with you hardware?
and did you examine you system files using the other machine?
at least look through you system message see what has happend...

可能是 / 下面没有了 proc 这个目录的原因。

用一个正常启动RHL9的机子，来启动这个坏了的RHL9系统，不能成功，错误提示依然。因急着要整理，所以只copy出重要资料，其它的均没有保存，进行重新安装RHL9。但一直不明原因，感觉是死不瞑目啊。
