不知能否将 Su$E 的 YaST 移植到 ML 上来？ 感觉 Su$E 8.2 中的YaST 已经做的非常不错了。从硬件的配置， 到软件的安装， 和 8.0 相比， 已有很大的进步。

当然， 这是一个非常巨大的工程。 不过， 只要能坚持下去， 肯定能成功。

YaST is not just an installer, although its name is "Yet another Setup Tool". It is more like an integrated system tool, like the "control panel" in windows. You can install/uninstall programs in it, setup and configure the hardwares,  etc.  

I once bought SuSE 8.0 in a local store, since Su$E doesn't provide ISO images, and used it for about one year.  I also used 8.2 for a short time before I knew ML.  I don't like SuSE because of three reasons: (1) it doesn't provide ISO images, you have to spend your nice money to buy it; (2)  the directory system is not the same as RH and MDK; (3) I can not get MATLAB work in it.

From my experience, I think YaST is a very good system tool.

Anyway, maybe I am wrong. I make some suggestions here just for one wish: hope ML be better and the best!

I don't know if we can get the source code. Is it not published under GPL?
