支持，emacs绝对是经典。
不过xemacs更好用一些，主要是他附带了很多完成其他功能的包。
比方jdee包，相当于一个java的集成开发环境。

jdee本来是设计给emacs和xemacs "beide" 用的，不存在什么完成什么功能~
我本人觉得xemacs更加亲切一点，但emacs更加klassisch一点！

小弟是新手，所以虽然知道jdee可以在emacs下用，但是装了几次都不成功。
后来发现xemacs已经把jdee包进去了，用起来很方便，所以才那么说。
没有贬低emacs的意思。

global-font-lock-mode

Alt+x后，输入：font-lock-mode
就可以了，建议先读读 info xemacs
或者去它的网站下载一分文档来看看。

vim is fast. it is very good when you are doing small project.
emacs have more function, it is more powerful.

i use vim only for editing those config files.
emacs is for programming.

i've never used ide under linux. i felt that is not stable.
