我的gentoo gnome用magicsong，不能显示英文

我的fontdir是用mkfontdir生成的，还生成了font.scale.在选好字体magicsong后，英文就无法显示。gentoo自带的song ti fangsong 也是一样

可我gentoo下的gnome里无此目录，怎么办

填一行iso8859-1的字体
复制生成的magicsong fonts.dir文件的每一行，
把-c改成-p 把-gb2312.1980-0改成-iso8859-1
这样就有中文和英文字体了。
不过gentoo真的很垃圾，
系统中不可能没有英文字体的。
这种费时费力，网络编译（如果只是网络安装也好）的模式，
保证了gentoo最终只能作为少数人家用的玩具。

很多人喜欢gentoo，因为他够cool,够麻烦，够专业，
正是因为这个原因，是妨碍所有linux发行版走入商用，走入家用的原因。

hmmm. Gentoo 的配置文件存放地的确和别的 Linux 不同，但仅仅这个好像还不足以成为 [最让人讨厌的 Linux 吧 ]

gtk.zh_CN 在 /etc/X11R6/gtk 下

其它的也挺有个性：
KDE3 在 /usr/kde/3，KDE 2 就在 /usr/kde/2 (依靠版本号区分)
系统服务全部在 /etc/runlevels 下，而且和其它发行版不同，不是靠 1,2,3,4,5 的运行级，居然分了 Boot, Default, nonetwork, single 四级，比起靠数字明了多了。

Gentoo 更像一个以 Linux 为核心的 BSD
