我的gentoo gnome用magicsong，不能显示英文

我的fontdir是用mkfontdir生成的，还生成了font.scale.在选好字体magicsong后，英文就无法显示。gentoo自带的song ti fangsong 也是一样

是啊是啊，我这一次安装的 Gentoo 也是一样，用微软 Windows 2000 里的 simsun.ttc
以前用 windows 3.2 (不要觉得夸张 ;P) 里的 simsun.ttf 就可以的，试一下吧( win98 里的应该一样 )

simsun.ttc 比 .ttf 版大了 3M 多(simsun.ttf 6M多, simsun.ttc 9M 多)，而且在 BeOS 里无法使用 .ttc 版的 simsun. 我想它们肯定有很大不同
