请教安装gentoo心得

谁安装了gentoo呢，能不能教一下我们这些菜鸟呢，听说安装gentoo很复杂。谢谢

很简单的，我一直用gentoo,要学怎么安装，可以去下面的gentoo版看看。不过我觉得最好的安装教程是官方的HandBook，看完了再安装，很轻松

谢谢~~~我现在还没装gentoo的原因是我现在在用rh9，我的2.6.4的内核还没搞定，装gentoo还要配置一次内核的吧？

rh 的脚本对模块依赖太大，要是你“自定”（not 直接编译）一个内核十有八成会导致启动失败。

相对的 gentoo 不会，所以你在这一点上大可放心。

我的gentoo 安装nvidia驱动高不定， 发贴求助。电脑如此说：

我不知道, 我的nvidia是用emerge下载的, 内核很好编译成功. 大概是nvidia编译失败了. 我再试试.

我的一点心得：
装好基本系统后，我通常会先装个较小的wm如windowmaker(半小时足够了)或是fluxbox之类的，然后配置好与x有关的东西。接着我会emerge一个依赖少的浏览器如opera(上网寻找解决办法用)；如果用不惯nano或vi，可以考虑nedit，一个x下依赖很少的editor(配置linux的基本工具)。然后就可以慢慢来了！不要逼着自己在一天内装好所有的东西(何苦搞得自己那么辛苦呢？)。好象kde这样的大东西可以分几次编译，譬如我的kde就是分三次才emerge完的(kdebase，kdeaddons，kde)。如果是Openoffice这样的大程序最好是睡觉的时候装；某天早上上班前我敲：
#cd /usr/portage/app-office/openoffice-ximian
#emerge -b openoffice-ximian-1.1.52.ebuild
傍晚回到家就可以用了。
Gentoo可以让你体验自己的系统从无到有，从简单到丰富的转变过程，从某种程度上来讲，也算是一种乐趣了。

我刚安完kde,新手，是照着下面的这个汉化文档安装的。

来安装ReiserFS文件系统。

我不是emerge nvidia显卡驱动的我直接从官方网站下载驱动然后从.bin文件中提取源代码
编译，这时会提示你有错误需要XXXX的共享库，安装共享库后，在按普通的方法安装官方的
驱动就好了。安装完毕后修改配置文件将驱动从"nv"该成"nvidia"就 好了，很好用.

我也是下载nvidia官方最新版才装上去的，用emerge自个装的死活不认。
