无法激活ppp0

操作系统：WIN2000+ Red Hat Linux9
问题：在WIN2000下可以上网， 在Red Hat Linux9 下“无法激活设备”
步骤:

#redhat-config-network
设置IP：192.168.0.1
掩码：255.255.255.0
网关不要设置
DNS：202.99.160.68
202.99.166.4
#adsl-setup

>>> Enter your PPPoE user name (default XXX):
在这里输入ADSL的用户名
(default eth0):如果一张网卡就设置写上eth0
>>> Enter the demand value (default no):不用写什么
>>> Enter the DNS information 写server
>>> Please enter your PPPoE password:输入密码
>>> Please re-enter your PPPoE password:再输入一次
>>> Choose a type of firewall (0-2):这里添写为2
>>> Accept these settings and adjust configurationfiles (y/n)?y

我重启了N次机子也无法激活网络设备 ppp0！
/sbin/adsl-start: line 217: 4187 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" >/dev/null 2>&1”
