怎么给内核打补丁？

我用的是rh8.0,我下了“patch-2.4.18.gz”（是不是这个补丁） ！
用什么命令，能详细点说吗？

1) u need  to know which kernel u use in rh8
2) that patch-2.4.18.tzg is for patch 2.4.17 to become a 2.4.18.

copy the patch-2.4.18.gz  into the kernel source code directory,and use

gzip -cd patch-2.4.18.gz | patch -p0

or gzip -cd patch-2.4.18.gz | patch -p1

是不是把patch-2.4.18.gz放到/usr/src 下，运行gzip -cd patch-2.4.18.gz | patch -p0 或
gzip -cd patch-2.4.18.gz | patch -p1
就ok?

cp patch-2.4.18.gz to the source code directory. usually it is /usr/src/linux,you should cp the patch to /usr/src/linux/ ,not /usr/src.

i recommend that you download a source code package,decompress it ,and patch your patch in it.

the default source code in your machine is a crack version,so perhaps patching the present source code will lead to some problem.
