可惜的是，如果编译时间太长的话，由于学校要断电，我担心会有问题。
之前，也只是前天，我的gentoo的/etc文件夹坏了（可能是因为mount了以后执行了一次fsck），ext3修复之后仍然无法进入系统，所以突然想到了fs的问题。
为了重装时可以节省一下时间，所以就问了这个桌面系统的问题。呵呵。

其实两个都不必要，我一直都没有装gnome, 装了kde还是因为想用里面的kate.

这就已经不是什么不必要了。安装桌面总是有一定必要性的，因为要用到一些图形的工具。
kde 中有我想要的qterm,gnome中我想用d4x,reciteword,startdic2等。

use icewm, it support many kde and gnome applications as well. and it is very fast.

这个我知道，只不过出于习惯，把它归在了kde中罢了。而且kde在的程序都是用qt库，所以我觉得这样说也没有什么不妥，正如很多gtk程序在安装了gtk库的kde也一样可用是一样。这种说法只是一种习惯上的区分而已。
