Magic Linux 1.2pre3 plan

MagicLinux 1.2pre1 has been released several days ago, and MagicLinux-1.2pre2 has been tested with new installer by charles for his own use:-)
so this is a plan for MagicLinux 1.2pre3:

1， build any packages needed by MagicInstaller，fix some problems in MagicInstaller，construct CD Image with new Installer and test
2， update some kde parts to kde 3.1.4, fix some bugs

3， Add acpi startup script

4， Import mozilla-1.5b with Chinese translation

5， Full test with Normal User and Root.

6， fix some bugs we have known

7， Add a package to Setup soundcard, network interface,
         graphic card at first boot time.
         New MagicInstaller will not config it at System installation
         time.

8， Release MagicLinux 1.2pre3 to public for test at 2003-9-25
         OS CD and Tools CD. if you need any some package, mail to
         me, I will upload it, but do not ask me for SOURCE CD, too
         big:-) . I will release it with 1.2 final.

2003-10-15, release MagicLinux 1.2beta1:OS CD and tools update
2003-10-30, release MagicLinux 1.2:OS CD, Tools CD, SOURCE CD.

After 1.2 release, we will make some update for it, such as kde-3.2, gnome-2.6(maybe) and kernel-2.6, maybe some new config tools

we will release a New VERSION “MagicLinux 2.0” next year

MagicInstaller is worked with the packages released with MagicLinux-1.2pre1. I have installed them into both of my computer and I can taste it now. But the executive environment of MagicInstaller is constructed from the RPM packages provided by RedHat9, so cjacker has to change it to use the RPM provided by MagicLinux.

The source code of MagicInstaller will be released in the first CD. I will prepare more documentation about its usage, internal structure and so on.

The features provided by MagicInstaller are locked before the release of MagicLinux1.2. My work is try to fix the bugs in the current feature set in this phase.

没有人说过9月25号发布正式版本，9月25号会放出一个完整的测试版本
并且现在的每一次测试都可以保证更多的朋友用上更好的系统，这点贡献都不能作?

Magic 现在是在它发展的关键的时候。怎么能怠慢呢！

很值得期待，特别是超快的系统速度和漂亮的启动画面给我的印象太深了，以前总在抱怨系统速度慢的人们这回可以满意了

是啊,Magic Linux没有必要赶时间.
质量上台阶,比尽快出新版更有利于其推广.
以后的Magic Linux就应该加强测试工作,尽量不要把问题留给正式版.

嗬嗬，我引入了1.4中文版，但是要引入1.5b中文版，这里是导入，不是翻译。

我被你们的付出感染着。
我知道这虽然很有趣但是毕竟太辛苦。
所以我感动。
我曾经做过类似的事情所以我可以想像得到，
我们可敬的MagicLinux小组成员们是多么的不容易……
