Helix Player  MileStone 2在 Jan. 15 2004放出，不过在使用时查看他的版本是0.2.0（MileStone 2 就是0.2.0？）。根据官方网站，realplayer 10就是基于Hxplay 0.2.0内核。这次他提供了一个Bin文件（和Realone一样），安装时把它放在一个目录中（我是将他放在～/Helix下，一开始我放在～/Helix Player 下，结果安装时找不到路径， 这看来路径中带空格他不支持），运行。./hxplay-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586.bin即可。使用时在命令行中 ./hxplay。如果用root安装，你就可以把这个文件夹删了。直接运行命令： hxplay。



使用情况：
根据官方文档，该版本有如下特征：

在家里播放rmvb 和r8文件，可以稳定运行。（r8文件是robotechzone 站长dp制作的robotech《太空堡垒》，rmvb是刚买的《加里森敢死队》。）但是在调节进度时有问题，要播放开始至等少3分钟后才能调节，否则就重新开始。但他的进度条却留在中间，不回去。声卡驱动只支持oss，运行时必须把arts挂起，试过artsdsp hxplay，但出错。支持全屏，但面板仍旧显示，要真正全屏只能把面板手动隐藏。


个人总结：如果你还装了xine，那就不要用hxplay，除非你要用他看r10的文件（现在有r10的文件吗？            ）

在我的机子上必须要挂起arts。用artsdsp hxplay没反映。
