编译安装xmms，系统提示缺少GLIB。

下载的xmms-1.2.7的原代码包，在Fedora Core 4上安装，结果在configure的时候，出现下面的提示：
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found
*** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to glib-config.
configure: error: *** GLIB >= 1.2.2 not installed - please install first ***
应该是提示没有安装GLIB，且GLIB版本要求大于1.2.2，我觉得很奇怪，应为安装操作系统的时候，GNOME我是安装了的，而且，我用命令：
rmp -q glib
系统也给了如下提示：
glib-1.2.10-16
说明系统里已经存在GLIB了，而且版本符合要求，为什么xmms的configure要给出那样的提示呢？请给予指点。
