这两个codec有什么区别？

essential all codecs without free alternative, for Linux x86 20041107 8.7M
all all codecs for Linux x86 (Win32 .dll and Linux .so) 20041107 11.7M

是不是安装了essential 或all all codecs for Linux x86 就不用安装win32codecs-20040703.tar.bz2

这几个codec都是按安装mplayer用的，均可在以下页面找到：

用其中一个大的，解压后烤到/usr/lib/win32下。（如果没有win32这个目录，手工建一个。）

大的无论大的小的好像都缺qt的解码器。。。。。。。。。。最好把里面的都下了。。。。。。

/usr/lib/win32是给xine用的，mplayer用的是/usr/lib/codecs

？？？不会把？我的mplayer和xine都用的/usr/lib/win32，除非你自己手动指定了codecs的目录。

will find them. The default directory is /usr/local/lib/codecs/ (it used to be
/usr/local/lib/win32 in the past, this also works) but you can change that to
something else by using the '--with-codecsdir=DIR' option when you run
