遇到一个不能进入图形界面的问题

今天装了一个magic linux2.1 rc3,装完后只能进入文本界面不能进入图形界面,是不是我的显卡设置错了.
我的显卡是VIA/S3G Unichrome Pro IGP 安装的时候没有这一项,只选了一个相近的VIA,后面的不一样.
请问有什么办法进入到图形界面吗?

我也是不能进入图形界面。
ATI range128显卡

用startx出现错误：
(EE)fail to load module "record"module does not exist,0)

我把xorg.conf中的driver改成“vesa”（原来是“r128”）后，可启动进入图形界面，但刷新率不能调整。

vesa 是通用的，一般不支持刷新率调整，必须专用驱动才能实现刷新率。Unichrome 这个显卡，好像没有开源驱动，所以显示设置那里没有他的驱动。去VIA 官方网站看看吧，注意 VIA 有几款显卡是没有 Linux 驱动的，只有 vesa 可用。

我的显卡在magiclinux 2.0中是可正常用的，不知为何2.1 rc3就不能用了。

我的ATI rage 128显卡可以被识别，但是不能驱动。
原来在2.0里是可以驱动的，ubuntu和fanx也都可以使用（是不是正确识别不清楚）。为什么2.1就不能用呢？总不能让我在回去用2.0吧。（我的2.0 cd已经删了 ）

即使真的是没有r128的linux驱动，那有没有什么变通的方法，能让我调刷新率呢？现在这个屏幕太闪了。

ati的驱动我下了一个（rpm），装上后没什么反应。也许我装得不对？

希望能耐心的来个step by step。

r128 的驱动是不是合并进入 radeon 或者 ati 了？
