用光盘安装 redhat 9 的时候出现上面的两行提示
然后就是让我安全的重新启动计算机。


错误出现在 boot: 确认后
没有进入图形安装模式的画面。


我以前安装过，系统坏了。 我把整个盘在DOS里格式化了一次 再安装就出现上面的错误。 硬盘在DOS下面是好的。


听说要关闭APM的电源选项和硬盘的UDMA模式：
但是BIOS里面没有电源的APM选项。
我关闭了BIOS里面硬盘的 UDMA 模式 都换成了PIO模式。还是一样。


我用boot:linuxtext模式安装也是一样
还尝试了从网上下载ISO从硬盘安装 还是一样

Hi Johan,

I got exactly the same anaconda error when I tried to install on a Dell OptiFlex GX260 but I didn't get the cpio error.
I had checked the MD5sum of the iso images and done a media check.

Now for the "solution". I had been busy at work, so after the install failed, I didn't do anything for about 2 days. I was going to try the CDs that I had made on a different computer but then decided to give it one one atttempt on the Dell. It worked.

Nothing had changed. I didn't even take the CD out of the drive. I guess these Dell computers need a little time to get used to running a new OS Steve Blackwell.

Thanks Chuck,  this info has come in very handy.  I can almost get this
done.  I still have one error when I do this.  When I do the find
2.2.16-22BOOT -print -depth | cpio -ovF modulesnew.cpio. It complains about
truncating inode number.  And when I go to use the new disk it get the
"Error 2 reading header cpio: Bad Magic" in the Alt F3 screen, and of cource
I get Failed to insert dmfe module in Alt F1.  I did not remove any drivers
from the disk, just added the .o file to the 2.2.16-22BOOT directory and
archived & recompressed it and modified module-info file and then created
the initrd.img file. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

换内存看看,我也遇到这样的问题.换了内存就没有事了

且建议把光驱与硬盘用同一条线,也有一种可能是因为主板IDE插槽有问题
