D版RH9和正版有什么区别？

只要在安装光盘里带有GPL就应该可以了吧， 我不觉得非要在网站上重帖一遍是有必要的， 事实上MS也没有在光盘和它的网站上贴它的规则， 只是引用说某段某段法律是怎么说的， MS的软件是置于这个法律的保护之下的云云....

这个就是了，只不过很不明显

不过redhat在安装的时候有GNU/GPL的显示，在我的记忆中
但是谁都看出redhat确实遵守了这个协议，

我刚提交的看来又得改一下。
RH的软件并不是全部按GPL发行的，各位最好到RH的网站查找一下，你买的RH软件是不是可以自由拷贝的。(http://www.redhat.com/licenses/)
RH在它网站的价格那么的高，但在中国的价格是这样的低，是不是有倾销的味道。

Also, with the source code in hand, if you run into problems, you can still get a good programmer to help you fix it.  Otherwise, you will have to prey that your vendor will fix it for you.

For example, Red Hat 9 does not install on SATA drives directly on a new Intel 875P chipset based motherboard.  My friend, who is really good with Red Hat, fixed the installer and created a set of CD that will allow me to install directly onto SATA drive in less than a day!!  That's the benefit and power of open source.  Even though the source code means nothing to me, I am lucky enough to have a good friend who is a great programmer to help me.  Otherwise, I will have to wait for Red Hat's next release!

So, I say "Go GPL, Go Open Source!"  :-)

刚才大该的看了一下RH网站上关于他的那些软件的协议（因为和法律有关的东西有很多专业用语，偶看不太懂），RH关于RH8.0的Personal版是可以自由重新发布的，但如果没有RH授权使用RH的商标，必需改变软件包中的图标，商标等，所以盗版市场卖RH的linux一定程度上侵犯了RH的权利，但谈不上盗版。
对于RH8.0的Professional 是不能随便发布的。
