从命令行下启动xmms，一开就出现如下错误提示：
The font "Century School book L" does not support all the required character sets for the current locale "zh_CN"
  (Missing character set "ISO8859-1")
  (Missing character set "GB2312.1980-0")

** WARNING **: Failed to open font: "Century School book L".

然后xmms倒跳出来了，但是一点中文都显示不出来，郁闷死了，播放列表一点用处都没了，怎么办？

换字体，当前的字体设置不支持 ISO8859-1 GB2312.1980-0

应该是 xmms 设置里的最后一页的字体。
以及 GTK 的字体（如果 xmms 的对话框、菜单显示也有问题）
不过似乎这个是需要改文件的………

是不是这些？改成什么字体啊？

根据需要修改，如果你的系统装了 Simsun 就改成它～～
不然就改成别的中文字体

我的机器已经装上了SimSun，在“配置您的计算机”下的字体下已经能看到这个字体了，于是我改了.xmms/config，如下：
playlist_font=SimSun
use_fontsets=TRUE
mainwin_use_xfont=TRUE
mainwin_font=SimSun
我不知道是否还需要改什么。
结果还是一样：

我快疯了，就这么个小问题还这么难弄。各位救救我啊。

试试这样,这个其实可以直接通过gui修改的。

playlist_font=-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--12-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1,-misc-simsun-medium-r-n
ormal--12-*-*-*-*-*-gb2312.1980-0,*-r-*
use_fontsets=TRUE
mainwin_use_xfont=true
mainwin_font=-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--12-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1,-misc-simsun-medium-r-n

你把simsun所在目录的font.dir看一下，还有simsun字体所在目录的路径，有没有包括在X配置文件中。

不好意思，我真的不知道在哪里，是在”配置您的计算机“里面安装的。我想是默认的地方吧，但是这个默认的地方在哪？
