进不了图形界面 求救！

我的计算机升级后还是进不了图形界面 我已经把module-init-tools-3.2-pre1.tar 装了 但是还是启动不起来 只能进入文本界面  输入startx提示：
No cone printer
FATAL server error:
feiled to initialine core devices

。。。。
还有 uncompressed individual file attachments using the bugzilla
file attachment feature:
--X server log file: var/log/XFree86.0.log
...........config file:/etc/x11/XF86 confing
....kernel log file:var//log/messages

我的是RHEL3现在升级EL4
有那位高手能帮我

还有 现在我的机子里面有2个内核 用2.4的也可以启动 只不过里面的许多模块不能用了 但是能进入图形截面，只不过不能支持FAT的文件格式 提示FATAL：Module。char-majar-108 notfound
还有 的不知道是什么 都发现不了
2.6.9的内核只是不能加载USB 鼠标 键盘 HID
并且在关机的时候提示:不能关闭 console mouse server

在文字界面下试一下setup命令，
选取X设置选项，
重新设置一下看看能不能行。
或者是试一下
Xconifgurator！
就是输入命令：
Xconfigurator

alsamixer看看
你的 b/modules/2.4.X里有vfat模块么
你运行一下
modeprobe vfat
有没有xf86config这个命令
