急救:安装Magic Linux1.2的问题，在线等解答

在VMware尝试安装成功，但是实际本机安装后可以看到引导选项，但是无法引导，提示file not found，用RF4.1的linux rescue无法重新安装grub，用windows安装盘删除分区用ML自带的分区工具重新安装无效，我的系统为hda1 为windows 2003，FAT32，ML装在hda8，EXT3，hda9为SWAP
PS：RED FLAG4.1，RH 9均可安装成功

把iso复制到非ntfs分区的根目录

不是硬盘安装，是光盘安装。在安装完成后重新启动后出现上述问题的，全部提示是：
root (hd0,7)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0X83
Kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9 ro root=dev/hda8 vga=791 splash=Silent
Error 15=File not found

还有一点不明白，明明我把/放在了hda8，（无/boot），为什么提示root（hd0，7），后面的那个不应该是8吗？？？而且我在VM下测试类似的环境成功了，也是hda8啊，是不是对hda4后的分区支持不好？？？

你是一个新手吧，哈哈，比我还菜，共同勉励，上面的内容是／boot／grub／grub.conf中的内容没错，在grub选择画面，按“e“（好像是这样的），cat root（0，7）／boot／grub／grub.conf，看看里面的内容
顺便问一句，md5码校验过没？

是啊，我是新手啊，MD5通过了，而且已经在VM上实验成功了，所以才敢装的，我去试试修改.conf文件看看，真是郁闷啊，装了N遍了

1. 分区表无法识别问题
由于目前安装程序使用的分区工具比较古老，可能无法识别 pqmagic (尤其是高版本的 pqmagic) 创建的分区，请尽量不要使用它。建议在 dos/win2k 下删除一个空闲分区，然后安装系统到这个分区。

*注意要在空白空间创建一个物理内存 1-2 倍的交换分区，还有一个 / 分区，这是基本要求。您也可以创建其他分区。注意，可以使用多个交换分区，但是每个分区大小不能超过 2048M，也就是 2G (如果没记错的话)。

哦，这个我看到过了，所以我还用WIN把原来的分区删除了用自带的分区工具分的（那个确实比PQ好用），不过仍然不行，难道非要创建一个/boot分区吗，可是我在VM下没有创建也可以启动成功啊

/boot不是分区，是一个文件(linux），你就当作是win里面的文件夹理解好了（这是错误的）
选择分区挂载“/”，选上格式化

root（hd0，7）是对的！ GRUB 与通常的分区概念不同，编号是从 0 开始的。GRUB 支持把系统安装到任何位置。

可是不管怎么安装，都不能引导啊，出错信息就是3楼的那个，有其他的安装或解决办法吗，我刚才又重新安装了一遍，还是不行啊~~~
我的是SOLTEC KT-600的板子，ST 80 IDE，是不是在AMD的机器上需要加载什么驱动啊

不是的，我的是普通IDE硬盘，不是SATA的ST 7200.7，2 MB缓存，EIDE接口。
有人遇到过这种奇怪的问题吗？？？
