installing WvStreams error

Hi folks,

BLFS 6.1
FC3 Host

Problem on installing WvStreams-4.0.1 on chroot environment
md5sums of its tarball matched.  
OpenSSL-0.9.7g installed without problem/complaint

streams/wvpam.cc:71: error: `fail' undeclared (first use this function)
streams/wvpam.cc:71: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in.)
make: *** [streams/wvpam.o] Error 1[/code:1]I tried 3 times, including re-download its patch file.  But problem still reoccured.

Please advise.  TIA

Whether you meant removing its source tree.  Start LFS 6.1.  From there install WvStreams.

Reboot and switch the lfs to boot, then merge it.

Hi linky_fan,

I have performed 2 tests as follows;

1) Started LFS 6.1
Removed the source tree of WvStreams-4.0.1, re-extracted its tarball and installed it there.

Still failed.

2) On FC3 Host
Entered chroot environment.  Removed the source tree and re-extracted its tarball.  Without running the patch file, installed WvStreams-4.0.1.

Also failed.

No.  After installing " Linux-PAM-0.80"

the problem gone.  Maybe for some reason LFS did not mention it on BLFS 6.1 book.
