How do I configure GAIM for Google Talk?

Once you download GAIM, you'll need to configure your client to connect to the Google Talk service. Here's how:

1.Open GAIM.

2.Click 'Accounts' at the bottom of the login page

3.Click 'Add' after the 'Accounts' window opens

4.Enter the following information in the 'Add Account' window:
Protocol: Jabber (协议：Jabber)
Screen Name: enter your full Gmail username (everything before '@gmail.com')（用户名:gmail邮箱前缀）

Password: we suggest leaving this field blank for increased security, but if you'd like to log in automatically, enter your Gmail password （密码：建议留空，不过如果你想自动登录就输入你的Gmail密码）
Alias: leave this field blank（别名：留空即可）
Remember password: check the box if you'd like GAIM to remember your password (you won't be prompted to enter it each time you log in, if you select this option)（记住密码：如果你想让GAIM记忆你的密码，那么GAIM就不会每次都问你登录密码）
Auto-login: check the box if you'd like to connect to the Google Talk service each time you use GAIM（自动登录：当你登录GAIM自动登录google talk）
5.Click the '+' next to 'Show more options.'

6Enter the following information in the section that appears: （输入以下信息）
Jabber Options: Check the box next to 'Use TLS if available,' and leave the other boxes unchecked. （Jabber选项，选中 若可使用就使用TLS）
Port: 5222 （端口：5222）
Connect server: talk.google.com （连接服务器：talk.google.com ）
Proxy type: Use Global Proxy Settings （代理类型：使用全局代理设置）
7.Click 'Save.' (点击“保存”)
Congratulations! You are now ready to connect to the Google Talk service using GAIM.
