我装了redhat7.2，但是没声音。
启动之时总会有提示：
Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound device:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue,using the null output device

我试过用alsa提供的声卡驱程软件包，但是也一样不行。

还有一个疑问就是，
用“modprode snd—××××”（××××是声卡名字）命令时，我不知道
声卡的名字填什么。我的声卡是via ac97。

我试过“modprode snd－ac97”“modprode snd－AC97”
“modprode snd－ac97－codec.o”等能想到都基本都试过了
但是结果总是“ can‘t locate module ac97 ”之类的话

我的声卡是Intel810 AC 97,打开sndconfig后，显示一堆乱码，好像是中文乱码，以前没用过，不知道sndconfig中是否有中文。

不管怎么样，几下回车后，进入图形化界面，打开窗口或玩游戏确实有声音了，不过不能播入CD或MP3还是没有声音，我试过几个都是这样。

请问各位大虾，这是怎么回事？

alsa应该可以，我的声卡就是Intel810 AC 97的，就是用alsa驱动起来的。我估计你的问题在于安装时内核配置声卡的方法不对，你得重新编译内核，去掉多余的选项，只保留对声卡的支持。祝你好运
