报告一个奇怪的错误现象，X起动不起来了！！！！

昨晚把ML2.0重新装了一遍，安装的时候选择的是文本起动方式，就是先进字符界面，如果需要的话就startx进X系统。
但是我发现在/etc/inittab文件里面的最后一行：
x:5nce:/etc/X11/prefdm -nodaemon
数值是5,而不是3,明明这个文件开始的注释是3进字符界面，而5是直接进图形界面阿？？
所以我就改为了3,但是重启发现居然是直接进了X，而不是象开始一样进字符界面！！是不是我搞错了阿？？
于是我又改回了5,重启，就直接可以进字符界面了，但是问题来了，再输入startx确实不能进X了。错误如下：(II) LoadModule: "bitmap"

好象是少模块，我进XP上网搜罗，说是X的bug，
于是我又 apt-get dist-upgrade,升级了很多东西，包括KDE,Xorg.
之后Xorg -configure，生成新的xorg.conf文件，修改了一下鼠标设备，
运行“ X -config /root/xorg.conf.new”也成功了，我再把这个文件按copy到/etc/X11目录里面为xorg.conf，起动startx，还是提示如上错误。
没办法，但是奇怪的是把inittab文件中的5,改回3,重启，就可以直接进X系统了。真是郁闷阿！请问大家知道这是什么毛病么？难道真的是X的bug么？可是我升级了Xorg阿！！不宁赐教，谢谢！
